Smart Board is an interactive whiteboard. Teachers use a finger to control computer programs, write notes, pull up images or charts, search the internet or play videos. This is quite a step up from an overhead projector!
Webcams offer countless ways to bring lessons to life. Instead of pen pals- have webcam pals (anywhere around the world), check the weather in Australia, watch a live video from the San Diego Zoo, and anything else you can think of!
PowerPoint presentations can be used to liven up a lecture, create a Jeopardy type game to review for quizzes, or children can use it to present book reports, show and tell, or research projects. PowerPoint is a fairly simple way to add a little spice to your lessons.
